A team from the Vatican came to the Archdiocese of New York for three days last week to review liturgical preparations for the apostolic visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the United States in April. Bottom left, Cardinal Egan and Auxiliary Bishop Gerald T. Walsh, right, rector of St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie, speak with the Vatican representatives in the seminary chapel where the pontiff is to meet with disabled youths and their caregivers. The visitors, from left, are Msgr. Guido Marini, papal master of ceremonies; Msgr. William Millea, assistant papal master of ceremonies, and Msgr. Konrad Krajewski, back to camera, assistant papal master of ceremonies. Above, officials from the Vatican, the Office of the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the archdiocese gather with Cardinal Egan at St. Joseph's Seminary where a model of the stage and an artist's depiction of the youth rally venue at the seminary is displayed by event producer Stig Edgren, far left. Bishop Walsh, bottom right, views a depiction of the venue for the youth event.
