“Celebrate Life Event”: Mother Seton Parish, 19951 Father Hurley Blvd., Germantown, Md. An evening of prayer and praise at Catholic Underground Maryland featuring the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and Catholic recording artist Taylor Tripodi. The night includes an optional Travelers Mass 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m., Praise and Worship Holy Hour at 7:30 p.m., and a concert with Taylor Tripodi at 8:45 p.m. Dinner and concert: $15 suggested donation.

Mother Seton parish is opening its facilities to groups traveling from out of town. If you need a place to stay on the eve of the March for Life, a donation of $35 includes dinner, concert, overnight accommodations (in a meeting room or classroom), breakfast and a bagged lunch. Mass in Washington, D.C., for Archdiocese of New York pilgrims. The Respect Life Office will host a Mass for all Archdiocese of New York pilgrims attending the March for Life. Cardinal Timothy Dolan will celebrate the Mass, joined by New York bishops, priests and seminarians. The Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 619 10th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. Following Mass, our group will walk to the rally and march under an archdiocesan banner. If an archdiocesan group cannot attend the Mass, you can meet us at 10th Street NW and Constitution Avenue where we will gather until the start of the March.

Youth Rally and Mass for Life: Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.

Adult and family rally and Mass for Life: The Mass will be offered at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, 1725 Rhode Island Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20036. 8:40 a.m. rally; 10 a.m. Mass. The Cathedral Mass for Life will be celebrated by Bishop Mario Dorsonville. It will feature music by Mike Tenney.

46th Annual March For Life

11 a.m. musical opening; 12 noon, rally; 1 p.m., march

Location: The March for Life 2020 rally will take place at 12th Street on the National Mall, between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive. Following the rally, the march will begin on Constitution Avenue between 12th and 14th streets at approximately 1 p.m. Information: www.marchforlife.org

National Pro-Life Summit: Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C., 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Ticket prices are $55 for students and $80 for adults. Tickets include admittance to the event and workshops, lunch and a snack break. After Jan. 9 the price increases to $60 for students and $85 for adults. Four national pro-life organizations have united to harness the passion of the most dedicated pilgrims to the annual March for Life, challenging them to return to their communities with a new vision and tools to radically change the political and cultural landscape. Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life: Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., 9:30 a.m.-4:15 p.m., followed by Mass for Life at 5 p.m., Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart. This year’s keynote speakers are Dr. Jonathan Reyes and Sister Bethany Madonna. This year’s theme is “The Consistent Life Ethic and the Law: the Ethical Argument for Life.” The conference is named in the honor of Cardinal John O’Connor, the late Archbishop of New York, who committed himself to advocate for the defenseless and eloquently defended pro-life positions. New York local event for the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade

Prayer Vigil for Life: Cardinal Dolan will celebrate Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Jan. 22, the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and one year after the signing into law of the Reproductive Health Act. The Prayer Vigil for Life will begin with Adoration at 6:30 p.m. with music by the Sisters of Life, followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 p.m. For those who are not able to be present at the March for Life in Washington, D.C., this event offers a local pilgrimage for building the culture of life in our nation. The event is open to all parishioners, families, parish groups and youth groups.
