89 Priests Receive Assignments as Pastors

The Cardinal’s Office has announced that 17 priests have been named to serve as pastors of new parishes; 34 priests have been named pastors of newly merged parishes; and 38 priests serving as administrators have been named pastors. All the appointments will become effective Aug. 1.

 

NEW PASTORS

Father Peter Colapietro, who has served as pastor of St. Monica’s in Manhattan since 2013, has been named pastor of St. Malachy’s-The Actor’s Chapel in Manhattan. He also served as pastor and administrator of Holy Cross, Manhattan. He was parochial vicar of St. Joseph’s, Yorkville, Manhattan, and St. Vito’s, Mamaroneck. He was ordained in 1976.

Father Dennis Dinan, who has served as pastor of St. Joseph’s in New Windsor and administrator of St. Francis in Newburgh, has been named pastor of St. Francis Xavier in Narrowsburg. He served as administrator of Immaculate Conception in Port Jervis and Most Sacred Heart in Port Jervis. He served as parochial vicar at St. Thomas of Canterbury, Cornwall-on-Hudson; St. Sylvester’s, Staten Island; St. Catharine’s, Blauvelt; and St. Francis of Assisi, Newburgh. He was ordained in 1992.

Father Matthew Fernan, who most recently has been administrator of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ardsley while remaining pastor of St. Matthew/St. Stanislaus Kostka, Hastings-on-Hudson, has been named pastor of St. Eugene’s, Yonkers. He served as parochial vicar of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale, and St. Benedict’s, the Bronx. He was on the faculty at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. He was ordained in 1989.

Father Richard Gill, who has been administrator at St. Lawrence O’Toole in Brewster since 2012, has been named pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole and Sacred Heart in Patterson. He served at St. Barnabas, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1991 for the Legionaries of Christ and served in a number of assignments for the religious order in New York and the Washington, D.C., area. He was incardinated into the archdiocese in April.

Father Rudolph Gonzalez, who has been pastor of Our Lady of Grace parish, the Bronx since 2012, has been named pastor of St. Margaret Mary in the Bronx. He had served as pastor of St. Joseph’s, Spring Valley, and also was administrator there. He served as parochial vicar at Our Lady of Mercy, Port Chester, and St. Elizabeth’s, Manhattan. He was ordained in 1987.

Father Brendan Gormley, who has been parochial vicar of St. Barnabas in the Bronx since 2010, has been named pastor of Holy Family on Staten Island. He served as parochial vicar of St. Paul’s in Congers. He was ordained in 2007.

Father Louis Jerome has been pastor of Sacred Heart, Staten Island, since 2003, and will now be pastor of St. Charles, Staten Island. He was also administrator of Sacred Heart. He was parochial vicar of St. Patrick’s, Yorktown Heights; St. Mary’s, Poughkeepsie; and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale. He was ordained in 1988.

Father Thomas Kallumady, who has served as administrator of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini on Roosevelt Island since last year, has been named pastor of St. John the Evangelist, White Plains. He served as pastor of Holy Innocents and the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, both Manhattan, where he was also administrator. He served as parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist, Beacon, and Sacred Heart, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1973 in India and incardinated into the archdiocese in 2000.

Father Andrew Kurzyna, who served as administrator of St. Thomas of Canterbury in Cornwall on Hudson since last year, has been named pastor of Sacred Heart in Newburgh. He was pastor of St. Patrick’s, Verplanck, and administrator of St. Christopher’s, Buchanan. He was parochial vicar at the following parishes: St. Augustine’s, Highland; St. Mary’s, Wappingers Falls; Regina Coeli, Hyde Park; St. Martin de Porres, Poughkeepsie; Sacred Heart, Patterson; and St. John’s, West Hurley. He was ordained in 1974.

Msgr. Emmet Nevin, who has been pastor of St. Paul’s in Congers since 2013, has been named pastor of St. Aedan’s in Pearl River. He is dean of the Rockland Deanery. He served as pastor of St. Catharine’s, Blauvelt. He was principal and a teacher at Msgr. Farrell High School, Staten Island. He was parochial vicar at Our Lady of the Assumption and Holy Rosary, both the Bronx. He was ordained in 1977 and named a monsignor in 1999.

Father Eric Rapaglia, who has served as administrator at Our Lady of Mercy in the Bronx since January, has been named pastor of Sacred Heart on Staten Island. He served as pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Bronx. He was parochial vicar of St. Barnabas, the Bronx, and Our Lady Star of the Sea, Staten Island. He was ordained in 2000. 

Father William Scafidi, who has served as pastor of St. Mary’s in Newburgh since 1998, has been appointed pastor of St. Peter’s in Liberty. He also served as administrator of St. Mary’s. He was parochial vicar at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Manhattan; St. Margaret’s, Pearl River; and Sacred Heart, Newburgh. He was ordained in 1983.

Father Jose Serrano, who has been administrator of St. John Vianney in the Bronx, where he also served as pastor, and Holy Family in the Bronx since 2014, has been named pastor of St. Teresa’s in Manhattan. He served as administrator of St. Columba’s, Manhattan, and parochial vicar of Sacred Heart, Newburgh; St. Ann’s, Ossining; and St. Elizabeth’s, Manhattan. He was ordained in 1995.

Father George Stewart, who has been pastor of St. Brendan’s in the Bronx since 2004, and administrator before that, has been named pastor of St. Augustine-Our Lady of Victory, the Bronx. He was parochial vicar of St. Raymond’s, the Bronx, and St. Margaret’s, Pearl River. He was ordained in 1994.

Father Charles Szivos, who has been spiritual director and professor at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, since 2008, has been appointed pastor of St. Patrick’s in Highland Mills. He served as spiritual director of St. John Neumann Residence. He was director of vocations for the archdiocese. He was parochial vicar in the Bronx at St. Philip Neri and St. Helena’s. He was ordained in 1999.

Father Austin Titus, who has served as pastor of Holy Family on Staten Island since 2003, has been appointed pastor of Epiphany in Manhattan. He served as parochial vicar of St. Rita’s, Staten Island, and St. Frances of Rome, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1992.

Father Robert Verrigni, who has been administrator of St. Ursula’s in Mount Vernon since 2012, has been named pastor of Church of the Magdalene in Sleepy Hollow. He also served as master of ceremonies at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and pastor of Holy Name of Jesus, Valhalla. He served as parochial vicar of Resurrection, Rye; SS. John and Paul, Larchmont; St. Patrick’s Cathedral; St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac; and St. Francis Xavier, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1977.

 

PASTORS OF MERGED PARISHES

Father Donald Baker, who served as pastor of St. Teresa’s in Manhattan since 2003, has been appointed pastor of St. Monica-St. Elizabeth of Hungary/St. Stephen of Hungary parish in Manhattan. He also served as St. Gregory the Great, Manhattan, and St. Frances de Chantal, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1995.

Father Christopher Berean, who served as pastor of St. Mary of the Snow in Saugerties since 2006, has been appointed pastor of St. Mary of the Snow, Saugerties-St. Joseph’s, Glasco. He was pastor of St. Francis De Sales, Phoenicia, 2003-2006. He served as parochial vicar at St. Mary of the Snow; St. Joseph’s, Kingston; and St. John the Evangelist, Woodstock. He was ordained in 1987.

Father Patrick Buckley, who was pastor of St. Christopher’s in Red Hook since 2010, was named pastor of St. Christopher’s, Red Hook-St. Sylvia’s, Tivoli. He was parochial vicar of St. Teresa’s, Staten Island, and St. Stephen’s, Warwick. He was ordained in 2004. 

Father Michael Cichon, who served as administrator of St. Peter’s on Staten Island since 2013 and pastor of St. Paul’s Staten Island since 2007, has been named pastor of St. Peter-Assumption-St. Paul on Staten Island. He was pastor of St. Joseph and St. Thomas, Staten Island, 2001-2007. He was parochial vicar at St. Clare’s, Staten Island; Immaculate Conception, Stony Point; St. Patrick’s, Yorktown Heights; and St. Charles, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1985.

Father Slawomir Ciszkowski, who has served as administrator of St. Catherine Laboure in Lake Katrine since last year, has been appointed pastor of St. Catherine Laboure, Lake Katrine-St. Colman, East Kingston. He served as parochial vicar of St. Augustine’s, Ossining, and St. Stanislaus Kostka, Staten Island. He was ordained in his native Poland in 2000 and incardinated into the archdiocese in 2013.

Msgr. Gerardo Colacicco, who has served as administrator of St. Joseph’s in Millbrook since last year, has been named pastor of St. Joseph’s, Millbrook-Immaculate Conception, Bangall. He was pastor of St. Columba’s, Hopewell Junction, and Sacred Heart, Newburgh. He was parochial vicar of St. Denis-St. Columba, Hopewell Junction; Our Lady of Fatima, Scarsdale; and Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck. He was a judge and defender of the bond on the Metropolitan Tribunal and director of pastoral formation at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie. He was secretary to Cardinal O’Connor. He was ordained in 1982 and named a monsignor in 1999.

Father Robert DeJulio, who has served as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham Manor since 2004, has been named pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help-St. Catharine, Pelham Manor. He served as pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole, Brewster. He was dean of students and procurator at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie. He served as treasurer at John. F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers and worked as assistant director of the Permanent Diaconate Program. He was parochial vicar at St. Margaret of Cortona, the Bronx, and temporary administrator and parochial vicar at St. Catharine’s, Blauvelt. He was ordained in 1972.

Father Thomas Dicks, who has been administrator of St. Mary’s in Marlboro since last year, has been named pastor of St. Mary’s, Marlboro-St. James, Milton. He was pastor of St. John the Evangelist, Goshen. He served as pastor, administrator and parochial vicar of St. Dominic’s, the Bronx. He was parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi, Newburgh. He was ordained in 1987. 

Father Rees Doughty, who served as administrator and pastor of St. Ann’s in Nyack since 2008, has been named pastor of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Cornwall-on-Hudson-St. Joseph, New Windsor. He was pastor of St. Lawrence O’Toole in Brewster. He was parochial vicar at St. Barnabas in the Bronx and Notre Dame in Manhattan. He was ordained in 1994.

Father Robert Grippo, who has been administrator of Annunciation in Crestwood since last year, has been appointed pastor of Annunciation, Crestwood-Our Lady of Fatima, Scarsdale. He was pastor of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, the Bronx, 1991-2014. He served as parochial vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale, and St. Frances de Chantal, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1972.

Father James Hauver, who was administrator of St. Roch’s on Staten Island since 2012, has been named pastor of Guardian Angel-St. Columba in Manhattan. He was parochial vicar of Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Joseph’s, both Staten Island; Immaculate Conception, Stony Point; and St. Patrick’s, Yorktown Heights. He was temporary administrator of St. Augustine’s, Highland, and served on the faculty of Archbishop Stepinac High School, White Plains. He was ordained in 1997 and incardinated into the archdiocese in 2010.

Father Robert Henry, who served as pastor of Most Holy Trinity in Mamaroneck since 2012, has been named pastor of St. Matthew-St. Stanislaus Kostka, Hastings-on-Hudson-Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Ardsley. He served pastor and administrator of St. Ann’s, Nyack; pastor of Immaculate Conception, Woodbourne; and administrator of St. Mary’s, Kingston. He was parochial vicar of Immaculate Conception, Woodbourne, and St. Mary’s, Fishkill. He was ordained in 1979.

Father Fernando Hernandez, who has been pastor of St. Patrick’s in Newburgh since 2009, has been named pastor of St. Patrick-St. Mary in Newburgh. He served as administrator of Our Lady of Fatima in Plattekill. He served as pastor and administrator of Christ the King, the Bronx, and administrator of Guardian Angel, the Bronx. He was parochial vicar at Incarnation, Manhattan, and St. Thomas Aquinas, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1990.

Father George LaGrutta, who has served as administrator of St. Anthony of Padua in Yulan since last year, has been named pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, Yulan-St. Thomas Aquinas, Forestburgh. He served as parochial vicar at St. James the Apostle, Carmel, and Immaculate Conception, Port Jervis. He was ordained in 2010.

Father John Lauri, who has been pastor of SS. Peter and Paul in Mount Vernon since 2008, has been appointed pastor of SS. Peter and Paul-St. Ursula in Mount Vernon. He served as parochial vicar at Visitation, the Bronx; St. Anthony of Padua, West Harrison; Sacred Heart, Hartsdale; Assumption, Tuckahoe; and St. Frances of Rome, the Bronx. He served as a judge on the Metropolitan Tribunal and was on the faculty of Cardinal Spellman High School, the Bronx, and Maria Regina High School, Hartsdale. He was ordained in 1973.

Father Thomas Madden, who has been pastor of St. Peter’s in Haverstraw since 2002, has been named pastor of St. Peter-St. Mary of the Assumption in Haverstraw. He was temporary administrator of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Manhattan. He served as parochial vicar at St. Anthony’s and St. Lucy’s, both the Bronx. He served as director of pastoral education at St. Joseph’s Seminary and spiritual director of St. John Neumann Residence, Riverdale, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1976.

Father Kevin Madigan, who served as pastor of St. Thomas More in Manhattan since 2012, has been named pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Thomas More, Manhattan. He was pastor of St. Peter’s and administrator of St. Joseph’s, both in Lower Manhattan. He was parochial vicar at Blessed Sacrament, Manhattan; St. Matthew’s, Hastings-on-Hudson; and St. Lawrence O’Toole, Brewster. He served on a ministry to alienated Catholics in Yorkville, Manhattan, and as a board member on the Archdiocesan Catholic-Muslim Dialogue. He was ordained in 1970.

Msgr. Douglas Mathers, who has served as pastor of St. John the Evangelist in Manhattan since 2006, has been appointed pastor of St. John the Evangelist-Our Lady of Peace, Manhattan. He serves as vice chancellor of the archdiocese, and was a judge and a defender of the bond on the Metropolitan Tribunal. He served as a parochial vicar at Our Lady of Victory, Manhattan, and St. Martin of Tours, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1985 and named a monsignor in 2006.

Father Brian McCarthy, who has served as pastor of St. Margaret of Cortona in the Bronx since 2007, has been named pastor of St. Margaret of Cortona-St. Gabriel, the Bronx. In Yonkers he was administrator of Christ the King and pastor of St. Bartholomew’s. In the Bronx he was parochial vicar at St. Barnabas; St. Joseph’s, Bathgate Avenue; Our Lady of Mercy; and St. John the Evangelist, Kingsbridge. He was ordained in 1975.

Father Alfredo Monteiro, who served since 2012 as administrator of Sacred Heart in Mount Vernon and pastor of St. Mary’s in Mount Vernon, was named pastor of Our Lady of Victory-Sacred Heart in Mount Vernon. He served as parochial vicar of St. Gabriel’s, New Rochelle; St. Teresa’s, Manhattan; and St. Lawrence O’Toole, Brewster. He was chaplain at Sound Shore Hospital in New Rochelle. He was ordained in 1973 in India and incardinated into the archdiocese in 2010.

Father Edward O’Halloran, who has been pastor of St. Joseph’s in New Rochelle since 2012, has been named pastor of St. Gabriel-St. Joseph in New Rochelle. He was pastor of St. Denis in Yonkers. He served on the faculty of Cathedral Preparatory Seminary. He served as parochial vicar at St. Christopher’s, Buchanan; and St. John’s, Kingsbridge, and Our Lady of Solace, both in the Bronx. He was ordained in 1978.

Father George Oonnoonny, who served as administrator of St. Patrick’s in Verplanck since 2014, has been named pastor of St. Christopher’s, Buchanan-St. Patrick’s, Verplanck. He served as pastor of Most Holy Trinity, Yonkers, while also a judge and then associate judicial vicar on the Metropolitan Tribunal. He served as parochial vicar at St. Ann’s, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1991.

Father Robert Robbins, who has served since 2013 as pastor of Our Saviour and administrator of Our Lady of the Scapular/St. Stephen’s and the Chapel of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, all in Manhattan, has been named pastor of Our Saviour-Our Lady of the Scapular/St. Stephen in Manhattan. He has served as director of the archdiocesan Community Outreach Office. He also directed the archdiocese’s Interfaith and Ecumenical Commission. He was pastor of Holy Family in Manhattan. He served as executive director of the archdiocesan Office of Development. He was parochial vicar at Resurrection, Rye. He was ordained in 1974.

Msgr. Donald Sakano, who served as pastor of the Basilica of Old St. Patrick Cathedral since 2007, has been appointed pastor of Basilica of Old St. Patrick-Most Precious Blood in Manhattan. He was administrator of Most Precious Blood since last year. He served as pastor of Holy Innocents, Manhattan, and administrator of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Manhattan. He served as parochial vicar of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and chaplain of New York University Medical Center. He served with archdiocesan Catholic Charities, 1979-1993, directing its Department of Neighborhood Housing. He was ordained in 1971 and named a monsignor in 1995.

Father Francis Scanlon, who has served as pastor of St. Ann’s in the Bronx since 2006, has been appointed pastor of St. Mary-Our Lady of Carmel in Mount Vernon. He served as pastor and administrator at St. Columba’s. Manhattan. He was parochial vicar at St. Brigid’s, Manhattan. He was ordained in 1983.

Father Timothy Scannell, who served as pastor of Sacred Heart in Dobbs Ferry since 2000 and administrator of Our Lady of Pompeii since 2004, has been appointed pastor of Sacred Heart-Our Lady of Pompeii in Dobbs Ferry. He served at Visitation, the Bronx; Immaculate Conception, Irvington-on-Hudson; Most Holy Trinity, Mamaroneck; and St. James the Apostle, Carmel. He was ordained in 1969.

Father Anthony Sorgie, who has been pastor of St. James the Apostle in Carmel since 2001, has been named pastor of Immaculate Conception-Assumption in Tuckahoe. He served as pastor of St. Benedict’s, the Bronx. He served at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie as vice rector for academic affairs and student life and on the faculty. He was a parochial vicar at St. Boniface, Monsey. He was ordained in 1982.

Father Joseph Tyrrell, who has served as pastor of St. Peter’s in Manhattan since 2012, has been appointed pastor of St. Peter-Our Lady of the Rosary, Manhattan. He served as parochial vicar in Manhattan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Epiphany and Notre Dame. He also served at St. Philip Neri and St. Raymond’s, both the Bronx, and St. Mary of the Assumption, Katonah. He was administrator at Our Lady of Lourdes, Manhattan. He was ordained in 1989.

Msgr. James White, who has been pastor of St. Vito’s in Mamaroneck since 2010, has been appointed pastor of St. Vito-Most Holy Trinity, Mamaroneck. He served as pastor and administrator of Blessed Sacrament, the Bronx, and St. Mary’s, Newburgh. He was rector of St. John Neumann Residence and served as priest-secretary to Cardinal O’Connor. He was parochial vicar at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and St. Clement and St. Michael on Staten Island. He was ordained in 1983 and named a monsignor in 1995.

Father Dennis Williams, who has been administrator of Holy Rosary in the Bronx since 2014, has been named pastor of Holy Rosary-Nativity of the Blessed Lady in the Bronx. He served as temporary administrator of St. Mary’s, Marlboro, and parochial vicar at St. Francis de Sales, Manhattan; St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac; St. Aedan’s, Pearl River; Epiphany, Manhattan; St. Gregory the Great, Manhattan; and Our Lady of the Assumption, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1991.

Father Robert Wilson, who was pastor of Immaculate Conception in Amenia since 2009, has been appointed pastor of Immaculate Conception, Amenia-St. Anthony, Pine Plains. He served as pastor of Holy Rosary in Hawthorne. He served as parochial vicar of St. John the Evangelist, Goshen; St. Mary’s, Fishkill; St. Sylvester’s, Staten Island; and Sacred Heart, Suffern. He was ordained in 1990.

Father John Wroblewski, who served as administrator of Our Lady of Pity since 2014 while remaining pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, where he has served since 1999, both on Staten Island, has been appointed pastor of Our Lady of Pity-St. Anthony on Staten Island. He served as administrator of St. Anthony of Padua, St. Adalbert’s and Sacred Heart, all on Staten Island, and St. Casmir’s, Yonkers. He was ordained in 1992.

 

 

 

ADMINISTRATORS NAMED PASTORS

Father Gilberto Angel-Neri was appointed administrator of Our Lady of Lourdes in Manhattan in 2014 and will now serve as pastor there. He had been parochial vicar at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, the Bronx. He had served as administrator of St. Teresa of Avila/Holy Cross, Sleepy Hollow. He was parochial vicar at Blessed Sacrament parish. He was ordained in 2007.

Father Jack Arlotta has been administrator of St. Stephen the Martyr in Warwick since last year and will now serve as pastor there. He served as pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Highland Falls. He was parochial vicar at Resurrection, Rye, and Holy Rosary, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1992.

Father Robert Ashman, who has served as administrator of Immaculate Conception in Irvington-on-Hudson since 2013, has been appointed pastor there. He served as parochial vicar of St. Anthony’s, Yonkers; Immaculate Conception, Tuckahoe; and St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1986.

Father John Bonnici has been serving at St. Columba’s in Chester since 2008, first as pastor and then administrator, and will again serve as pastor there. He earlier was pastor of St. Philip Neri in the Bronx. He served as director and assistant director of the archdiocesan Family Life-Respect Life Office. He was parochial vicar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Elmsford. He was ordained in 1991. 

Father Andrew Carrozza has served as administrator and pastor of St. Ann’s parish in Yonkers since 2008, will once again become pastor. Prior to that he was parochial vicar at Immaculate Conception, Stony Point; Sacred Heart, Suffern, St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac, and Immaculate Conception, Tuckahoe. He was ordained in 1990.

Father Michael Cedro has served as administrator of Holy Cross, Middletown, since 2012 and will now become pastor there. He was parochial vicar at St. Joseph’s, Croton Falls; St. Augustine’s, New City and St. Columba’s, Hopewell Junction. He was ordained in 2004.

Msgr. Jeffrey Conway has been administrator of St. Patrick’s, Staten Island, since 2014 and will now become pastor there. He also served as parochial vicar at St. Patrick’s. Also on Staten Island, he has served as pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Paul’s. He was also administrator of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Manhattan, and parochial vicar of St. Joseph’s, Croton Falls. He served on the faculty of Cardinal Spellman High School, the Bronx. He was ordained in 1973.

Father William Cosgrove has been administrator of St. Augustine, New City, since 2014 and had been pastor there since 2008, and will now become pastor there again. He also once served as parochial vicar there. He was also pastor of St. Denis, Hopewell Junction, and St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac. He was ordained in 1974.

Father Eric Cruz has served as administrator of St. John Chrysostom, the Bronx, since 2014 and will become pastor there. He also serves as Bronx regional coordinator for archdiocesan Catholic Charities. Also in the Bronx, he was temporary administrator of St. Luke’s, administrator of Our Lady of Victory and pastor of Christ the King. He also served as parochial vicar of St. Elizabeth’s, Manhattan. He was ordained in 2003.

Father James Cruz was named administrator of St. Mary’s in Wappingers Falls in 2014 and will now serve as pastor there. He had served as priest secretary to Cardinal Dolan. He served as pastor of St. John Vianney, the Bronx, and administrator there. He served as parochial vicar of St. Raymond’s, the Bronx. He was ordained in 2005.

Msgr. Thomas Derivan has been administrator of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus in the Bronx since 2014 and will become pastor there. Previously he was pastor of St. Helena, the Bronx, and prior to that parochial vicar there. He was ordained in 1972 and named a monsignor in 1999.

Father Thomas Devery, who served as administrator of Our Lady Star of the Sea on Staten Island since last year, has been named pastor there. He was director of the archdiocesan Office of Priest Personnel. He was pastor of Holy Child, Staten Island, and served as temporary administrator and parochial vicar of Our Lady of Pity, Staten Island. He served as a member of the Parish Mission team, special assistant to the archbishop for vocations, and parochial vicar at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Shrub Oak. He was a chaplain at Most Holy Trinity at West Point. He was ordained in 1977.

Father Brendan Fitzgerald has been administrator of Regina Coeli in Hyde Park since 2012 and will now serve as pastor there. He served as parochial vicar at Our Lady of the Scapular and St. Stephen, Manhattan; and St. Margaret of Cortona and St. Barnabas, both the Bronx. He served as priest secretary to Cardinal Egan. He was ordained in Ireland in 2000 and incardinated in 2012.

Father James Garisto, who was administrator of St. Aldabert’s on Staten Island since last year, was named pastor of St. Adalbert-St. Roch on Staten Island. He served as pastor of St. Peter’s in Poughkeepsie. He served as parochial vicar at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Staten Island, and St. Clare’s and St. Lucy’s, both the Bronx. He was on the faculty at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1977 and incardinated into the archdiocese in 1983.

Msgr. Richard Guastella, who has been administrator of St. Clare’s on Staten Island since last year, has been named pastor there. He was pastor of Holy Rosary, Staten Island. He served as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Manhattan; Holy Rosary, the Bronx; and Our Lady of Victory, Mount Vernon. He served as vocations director for the archdiocese. He was ordained in 1972.

Father Bernard Heter has been administrator of St. Joseph’s, Florida since 2014 and will now become pastor. He was pastor of St. Thomas of Canterbury and was administrator and parochial vicar there. He served as parochial vicar at Sacred Heart, Suffern, and Our Lady of Mercy, Port Chester. He was ordained in 1974.

Father Carl Johnson, who has been administrator and pastor of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Port Ewen since 2008, has again been appointed pastor there. He also served as pastor of St. Augustine’s, New City, and Sacred Heart, Monroe, where he was administrator and parochial vicar as well. He served as parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist, Mahopac; and Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck. He was ordained in 1978.

Father Pancrose Kalist has been administrator of Our Lady Queen of Peace on Staten Island since 2008 and will now serve as pastor there. He served as parochial vicar at St. Ann’s, Staten Island; St. Aedan’s, Pearl River; and Our Lady Queen of Peace, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1988 in India and incardinated in 2007.

Msgr. Dennis Keane has served as administrator of Holy Family in New Rochelle since last year and will now serve as pastor there. He has also served as pastor of Annunciation, Crestwood, and Our Lady of Good Counsel, Manhattan. He is executive director of the Trustees of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. He was parochial vicar at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Pelham Manor, and St. Gabrielle’s, New Rochelle. He was ordained in 1971 and named a monsignor in 1999.

Father Michael Kerrigan, who had served as administrator of St. John’s, Kingsbridge, the Bronx, since 2012, has been appointed pastor of St. John-Visitation in the Bronx. He served as parochial vicar of Sacred Heart, Monroe, 2013; St. Catharine’s, Blauvelt, 2010-2013; and Good Shepherd, Inwood, 1987-1993. From 2005 to 2010 he was an editor at Paulist Press. He was ordained for the Paulist Fathers in 1987 and incardinated into the archdiocese in April.

Father John Lagiovane was named administrator of St. Joseph’s in Somers in 2014 and will now serve as pastor there. He had been principal of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Poughkeepsie. He was on the faculty at Msgr. Farrell High School, Staten Island. He served as parochial vicar at St. Aedan’s, Pearl River, and Sacred Heart, Newburgh,. He was ordained in 1992.

Msgr. Robert Larkin has been administrator of Sacred Heart in Hartsdale since 2014 and will now be pastor there. He had been pastor of Visitation in the Bronx. He served as vice chancellor, 1988-1991. He served as parochial vicar at St. Barnabas, the Bronx, and St. Dominic’s, the Bronx. He served on the faculty of Cardinal Hayes High School, the Bronx.

Father Ramon Lopez was named administrator of St. Piux V in the Bronx in 2014 and will now serve as pastor there. He served as parochial vicar at St. Rose of Lima/Our Lady of Esperanza, Manhattan, and St. Raymond’s, the Bronx. He was ordained in 2008.

Father Joseph McLafferty, who has served as administrator of St. Christopher’s and St. Margaret Mary on Staten Island, has been named pastor of St. Christopher-St. Margaret Mary on Staten Island. He was pastor of St. Christopher’s, 2008-2014, and parochial vicar of Our Lady Star of the Sea on Staten Island and St. Patrick’s in Yorktown Heights. He was ordained in 2000.

Father Michael McLoughlin was named administrator of St. Columba’s in Hopewell Junction in 2014 and will now be pastor there. He has been pastor of St. Stephen’s in Warwick and of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Highland Falls. He served as administrator and parochial vicar of St. John the Baptist, Yonkers. He was parochial vicar at St. Peter’s, Rosendale, and St. Rita’s, Staten Island,. He also was vocations coordinator for the Staten Island Vicariate. He was ordained in 1981.

Father James Miara has been administrator of St. Anthony’s, Commonwealth Avenue, the Bronx, since 2012 and will become pastor there. He previously served as both pastor and administrator there. He was also parochial vicar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the Bronx, and of St. Teresa’s, Staten Island. He was ordained in 2001.

Father Philip Persico was named administrator of Holy Name of Jesus in Valhalla in 2013 and will now be pastor there. He has served as parochial vicar of Holy Name of Jesus parish. He was administrator of Sacred Heart, Newburgh. He also served as parochial vicar of St. Denis, Hopewell Junction and Holy Child, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1999.

Msgr. Thomas Petrillo served as administrator since 2014 and earlier as pastor at SS. John and Paul in Larchmont and will now become pastor there again. He had served the office of the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C. He was on the faculty of Cathedral High School in Manhattan and Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx. He was summer secretary to Cardinal O’Connor and parochial vicar at St. Vito’s in Mamaroneck. He was ordained in 1983 and named a monsignor in 2005.

Father Robert Quarato was named administrator of St. Elizabeth in Shrub Oak in 2014 and will become pastor there. He was pastor of Holy Rosary, the Bronx. He served as parochial vicar of St. Margaret of Cortona and St. Benedict’s, both in the Bronx. He was ordained in 1992.

Father Philip Quealy has served administrator and pastor at Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains since 2008. He will now serve as pastor there. He served as a faculty member and technology assistant at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains. He was parochial vicar at St. Brendan’s, the Bronx, and St. Joseph-St. Thomas, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1983.

Father Rodrigo Senapthige has been administrator of Infant Savior, Pine Bush, since 2014 and will become pastor there. Prior to that he was administrator of St. Joan of Arc, Sloatsburg. He was parochial vicar of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus, the Bronx, St. John the Evangelist, Goshen and St. Paul’s, Congers. He was ordained in 1999 and incardinated into the archdiocese in 2009.

Father Ambiorix Rodriguez has been administrator of St. Elizabeth’s, Manhattan, since 2014 and will become pastor there. Prior to that he had served as pastor of Our Lady of Mercy, the Bronx and as administrator there. He was a parochial vicar of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Manhattan, and, for a summer assignment at St. Joseph’s, Middletown, where he ministered to migrant workers. He was ordained in 1997.

Father Edward Russell has been administrator of St. Rose of Lima in Manhattan and will now serve as pastor. He has served at St. Rose of Lima parish, Manhattan, since 2006. He has served as administrator of Our Lady of Esperanza in Manhattan. He was pastor and administrator of St. Pius V, the Bronx. He was parochial vicar of Incarnation, Manhattan, and Immaculate Conception, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1983.

Msgr. Thomas Sandi has been administrator of Holy Trinity in Manhattan since last year and will now serve as pastor. He served as pastor and administrator of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Shrub Oak. He served as parochial vicar at Holy Family, Staten Island. He retired as a U.S. Air Force chaplain with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He served as parochial vicar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Benedicta, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1973 and named a monsignor in 1999.

Father Robert Staar has been administrator of Christ the King in Yonkers since 2013 and will now serve as pastor. He has served as pastor of Our Lady of Mercy, Port Chester and Immaculate Conception, Stony Point. He served as parochial vicar of the following parishes: St. Catharine’s, Blauvelt; Holy Family, New Rochelle; St. Anthony’s, Richardson Ave., the Bronx; and Sacred Heart, Staten Island. He was ordained in 1977.

Father Joseph Tokarczyk has been administrator of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Highland Falls since last year and will now become pastor there. He earlier was pastor and administrator of St. Joseph’s, Florida. He also was administrator of St. Stanislaus, Pine Island. He served as parochial vicar at St. Stanislaus, Staten Island. He was ordained in Poland in 1979 and incardinated into the archdiocese in 1996.

Father Leonard Villa has been administrator of Holy Innocents in Manhattan since last year and will now serve as pastor there. He had served as administrator at St. John the Evangelist, Goshen. He had been pastor of St. Eugene’s, Yonkers, where he also had been administrator and parochial vicar. He was regional vicar of Yonkers. He was parochial vicar of St. Dominic’s and Our Lady of Mount Carmel, both in the Bronx. He was ordained in 1986.  

Father Matthew Yatkauskas has been administrator of St. Charles Borromeo in Gardiner since 2013 and will serve as pastor there. He served as parochial vicar of the following parishes: St. Francis de Sales, Manhattan, and St. Joseph’s, Yorkville, Manhattan; Holy Name of Mary, Croton-on-Hudson; St. Joseph’s, Croton Falls; and St. Francis of Assisi, Mount Kisco.
