The Archdiocesan Committee for the Marian Parade of New York sponsored the afternoon event along Amsterdam Avenue from 86th to 107th streets on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Although Mass is traditionally celebrated on the street after the parade, inclement weather caused the liturgy to be moved indoors at Ascension Church on 107th Street. Father Kearney served as principal celebrant.
