The Institute of Religious Studies of St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, held its annual commencement exercises May 12. Auxiliary Bishop Gerald T. Walsh, rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary, celebrated Mass in the seminary chapel before the academic degrees were conferred. Graduates, process from the chapel led by Gregory Dwyer, who received the Sister Janet Baxendale Liturgy Award.
Eleven graduates received master of arts degrees in religious studies: Father John Zwahu Audu, Elena Victoria Brandt, Gregory Dwyer, Janice Vaillancourt Jenkins, Jolanta Maria Juul, Angeli Abad Kolhatkar, Teresa M. Lothian, Thomas J. McManus, Catherine T. Olive-Kelly, Father Anthony Kofi Worae and Kathleen Zurhellen.
Two graduates received post-master’s certificates in religious studies: Thomas G. Byrne, Sacred Scripture, and James J. Smith, Systematic Theology.
