Even though a snowstorm pushed back the 20th annual Cardinal Hayes Track and Field Championship by a day, seven Catholic high school teams gave it their all at Fordham University’s Lombardi Center Jan. 4.
Fordham Prep wound up the big winner, taking first place in the varsity and freshmen divisions. Cardinal Hayes was second in the varsity field, ahead of third-place Archbishop Stepinac High School. On the freshmen level, Mount St. Michael Academy was second and Cardinal Hayes was third.
