New Principal Appointed For Msgr. Scanlan High

The Advisory Board of Msgr. Scanlan High School in the Bronx announced that Peter Doran has been named the new principal. The appointment became effective July 1.

Most recently, Doran was an assistant principal at New Visions Charter High School for the Humanities in the Bronx for three years. Before that he was assistant principal, then principal, at Nazareth Regional High School, a Catholic school in Brooklyn, for 12 years. While there, he increased the enrollment and improved the spiritual programs.

Doran earned a bachelor’s degree from Queens College and a master’s in education from Fordham University.

Msgr. Scanlan High School is a co-educational, college preparatory institution with almost 400 students.
