For High School, College Students
New York Catholic Day Nov. 3

The newly formed archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry will hold its first New York Catholic Day for High School and College Students at the College of Mount St. Vincent, 6301 Riverdale Ave. in Riversdale, the Bronx, on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will mark the annual World Youth Day celebration in the United States, which will take place this year on Sunday, Oct. 28, the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Cardinal Dolan will be the principal celebrant of the welcome Mass.

The day will feature music ministries from around the archdiocese including Father Stan Fortuna, C.F.R.; Joan Sanchez and RP Band; Full Armor and RioSquad.

There will be workshops for high school and college students and youth ministers. Speakers include Father Stephen Norton, pastor of St. Benedict’s parish, the Bronx; Father Agustino Torres, C.F.R.; and Tim Hanley of Hard as Nails Ministry.

Father Joseph Espaillat is the director of the Office of Youth Ministry.
