MAKING A SPLASH—
Traditional Polish dancers didn’t let a little rain bother them as they happily twirled at the 75th annual Pulaski Day Parade on Fifth Avenue Oct. 7. The theme for this year’s diamond jubilee parade, which celebrates Polish American heritage, was “75 Years of Polonia Proudly Marching.” A Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral preceded the parade. The parade commemorates General Casimir Pulaski, a Polish nobleman and military commander who fought in George Washington’s Continental Army during the American Revolution.
