Relic of St. John Paul II at Cathedral July 12-13

A relic of St. John Paul II will be at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Saturday, July 12 at the 5:30 p.m. Mass and remain there Sunday, July 13, from the 10:15 a.m. Mass until 8 p.m.

Cardinal Dolan will offer the 5:30 p.m. Mass on July 13.

The faithful are invited to venerate the relic from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 12 and from 10:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 13. Veneration will cease during Mass times but the relic will be used during the liturgy for a blessing over the congregation. The relic will be present for the following Masses July 13: 10:15 a.m.; noon; 1 p.m.; 4 p.m. (Spanish) and 5:30 p.m.

The relic visit is sponsored by the St. John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C., in cooperation with the Knights of Columbus.
