Satisfied Newcomer

To the Editor:

I attended the Vigil Mass of the Assumption of the Blessed Mother at St. Columbanus Church, Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, where I am a new parishioner. That evening, they had a male soloist whose singing of the “Ave Maria” absolutely penetrated my soul. The new church organ seems to be working quite well, in the competent hands of the organist.

The priests at this church are very serious about Catholicism. There’s a Mass in Latin on Sunday afternoon. This is truly a very traditional Catholic church.
