Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York, Catholic Charities Executive Director Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, New York Catholic Charities’ Junior Board, and other volunteers shopped Saturday Morning to provide basic necessities for needy families as part of the annual St. Nicholas Project shopping day on Saturday, December 12th beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Kmart at Astor Place in Lower Manhattan (corner of Broadway and 9th Street).

The efforts of more than 500 volunteer shoppers will help over 1,200 families in need by providing them with essential items such as coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, pajamas, socks, and blankets to stay warm throughout the winter season. In addition this year, five local families helped by the Arab American Family Support Center will be shopped for as well.
