Let's Go!
Weekend Happenings
There are a lot of wonderful, faith-filled events taking place around the archdiocese this weekend. If you’re looking for something new, why not add one of these activities to your schedule? This is the last weekend to check out “Object of Devotion: Medieval English Alabaster Sculpture from the Victoria and Albert Museum,” being hosted at the Princeton University Art Museum in Princeton, N.J. The exhibition features alabaster carvings from the late 14th through early 16th centuries. If you’re looking for a new volunteer opportunity, the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal are looking for people to serve at their Soup Kitchen, located at Our Lady Queen of Angels Convent in the Bronx, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, Frassati, a fellowship group for young adults, will hold its monthly dinner and Holy Hour at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Manhattan, beginning with Mass at 5:30 p.m. The group asks for a donation of $10. For more events and activities, check out the latest issue of Catholic New York newspaper, or click on the “Happenings” link online. Have a great weekend, everyone!
