Thank you for your wonderful coverage of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle’s visit to Fordham University and St. Patrick’s Cathedral (CNY, April 3).
Fordham owes a special thanks to the Filipino American community who joined us over the weekend. Through their generosity on the occasion of Cardinal Tagle’s visit, we were able to raise more than $45,000 for the recovery of those areas in the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). We owe a special thanks to the leadership of Ambassador Jose Cuisia Jr., Ambassador Libran Cabactulan, Consul General Mario De Leon Jr. and Deputy Consul General Zaldy Patron.
In addition to our university president, Father Joseph McShane, S.J., Cardinal Dolan and Cardinal Egan, I also want to acknowledge the presence and support of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, a member of the Fordham College Class of 1954.
