Archbishop Molloy to Honor The Life of Slain Graduate

Posted

Archbishop Molloy High School in Briarwood, Queens, will honor the life of 2004 graduate Karina Vetrano by raising money for a scholarship bearing her name.

The memorial event, which starts at 8 p.m. on June 23, begins with a walk/run vigil overnight, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass, breakfast and dedication of a permanent memorial at the Marist Brothers school the next morning. Proceeds from the fund-raiser are helping establish the Karina Vetrano Memorial Scholarship at Molloy.

Ms. Vetrano was killed while jogging in Howard Beach, Queens, last August.
