Brother Daniel F. Curtin, C.F.C., a past principal of All Hallows High School who taught at Power Memorial Academy and other schools in the archdiocese, died Aug. 6 in New Rochelle. He was 91. He was a resident of St. Joseph's, a Christian Brothers residence in New Rochelle, for eight years. Before that, he was a member of the community at All Hallows in the Bronx, 1984-1999. He taught at Power Memorial in Manhattan during the late 1970s and early 1980s and also briefly at other times. He was principal of All Hallows and superior of the community there, 1948-1954. He taught at Iona Preparatory School, 1940-1948, and Iona Grammar School, 1937-1939, both in New Rochelle, and Sacred Heart, the Bronx, 1932-1937. He also taught in upstate New York and in New Jersey, California and Montana. Born in Manhattan, he entered the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1929 and professed final vows in 1940. He held a bachelor's in elementary education and a master's in physics, both from Fordham University in the Bronx. He is survived by a sister, Teresa. A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 9 at Holy Family Church, New Rochelle, with burial at the Christian Brothers' cemetery in West Park.
