Catherine M. Kealey, who was principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Holy Rosary School in East Harlem, 1979-1987, died Oct. 15 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was 69. She also taught in the archdiocese at St. Francis of Assisi, Sacred Heart and Our Lady of the Assumption schools in the Bronx and at Immaculata High School in Manhattan. She was a child care supervisor at St. Michael's Home, Staten Island, 1963-1967. Mrs. Kealey, a native of the Bronx, left the archdiocesan school system in 2000 and was a resident of Trinity, Fla., at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, Robert, a former associate superintendent of schools for curriculum and testing in the archdiocese. A Funeral Mass was offered Oct. 27 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, New Port Richey, Fla. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, Nov. 4, at noon at St. Sylvester's Church in Medford.
