Catholic Schools Will Open Doors for Six ‘Touring Tuesdays’

Posted

Catholic schools across the archdiocese will again open their doors on designated “Touring Tuesdays” to enable prospective parents to see first-hand the benefits of Catholic school education for their children.

More than 100 Catholic schools in all nine educational regions are expected to participate in Touring Tuesdays during the academic year, including all regional Catholic elementary schools and many parish-based schools.

Touring Tuesdays will again be offered in a tightly grouped schedule that coincides with the recruiting season for prospective students.

The first Touring Tuesday is scheduled on Nov. 15, and subsequent sessions will take place in 2017 on Jan. 10, Jan. 31 (during Catholic Schools Week), Feb. 14, March 14 and April 4.

Touring Tuesdays are open houses that allow parents interested in either kindergarten through eighth grade or in early education programs—including pre-K 3, pre-K 4 or free universal pre-K—a chance to meet principals and teachers and see classrooms in action.

On Touring Tuesdays, parents are invited to schedule tours from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., or by appointment. The open houses are for prospective parents and reservations are required.

Parents may make a reservation by calling a 24-hour, bilingual phone line at (646) 794-2885 or research information about every school in the archdiocese at www.BuildBoldFutures.org through the interactive school map or the “Find a School” button.

Parents may also complete an online inquiry form to request information about specific schools and Touring Tuesday events. Once their contact information is submitted, parents will receive a call from a bilingual telemarketer within 72 hours to answer any questions and schedule a Touring Tuesday visit.
