David Charneco

David Charneco, the brother of Father Robert Ginel, former pastor of St. Peter's parish, Monticello, died of cancer on July 26 at his home in Mount Holly, N.J. He was 50.

Born in the Bronx, Mr. Charneco had served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a sergeant. He was employed as a systems analyst for Comcast.

He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of Sacred Heart in Mount Holly.

Along with Father Ginel, who will serve as parochial vicar of Holy Cross parish, the Bronx, beginning next month, Mr. Charneco is survived by his wife, Laura; three children, Venessa Archer, Ginel D. Charneco and Robert A. Charneco; and another brother, Joseph A. Ginel.

A Funeral Mass was offered July 30 in the main chapel at Fort Dix, N.J. Burial was private.
