Permanent deacons line up to be ordained by Cardinal Dolan during ceremonies at St. Patrick’s Cathedral June 20. Eight new deacons were ordained. Kneeling before the cardinal is Deacon Daniel Byrne. You are to be an outward sign given us by Jesus, cherished and celebrated in his Church in imparting God’s life to others.”
