Father John C. Reynolds, C.S.P., a former pastor of Good Shepherd parish in the Inwood section of Manhattan, died Oct. 3 at Mary Manning Walsh Home in Manhattan. He was 93.
He was pastor of Good Shepherd from 1970 to 1978.
From 1978 until his retirement, he served as a local missionary and retreat master for the Paulist Fathers, based at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan. He also served there from 1951 until 1964.
He also served in Detroit.
Born in the Bronx, Father Reynolds entered the Paulist Fathers in 1941 and was ordained in 1947.
He held a bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College.
A Funeral Mass was to be offered Oct. 8 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, with burial at Mount Paul Cemetery, Oak Ridge, N.J.
