Father Robert Depinet, M.M., who served in the Philippines for 41 years, died Oct. 7 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. He was 84.
Father Depinet was in the Philippines, 1961-1991 and 1995-2006. He also served in Cleveland, and following his retirement in 2006, he assisted in the Diocese of Toledo in Ohio and at Maryknoll.
Born in Kansas, he entered Maryknoll in 1952, professed his final vows in 1960 and was ordained in 1961.
His brothers, John, Raymond and Ralph, and his sisters, Geraldine Lucius, Margaret Karl and Viola Wasserman, survive him.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 18 at Maryknoll’s Our Lady Queens of Apostles Chapel. Burial was in Maryknoll Society Cemetery.
