Helen M. Brennan, the mother of Father Brian C. Brennan, pastor of St. John the Evangelist parish in Mahopac, died Aug. 5. She was 86. A longtime resident of New Rochelle, she worked for many years at American White Cross, after which she became a nurse's aide. For more than 10 years she tended to the elderly and ill Ursuline Sisters at the College of New Rochelle. Father Brennan offered the Funeral Mass Aug. 9 at Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
