I was as devastated as anyone in France about the terrible Notre Dame Cathedral fire. My wife and I have had the good fortune to visit Paris multiple times, and one of the great treats of such a trip was to attend the Tridentine Solemn High Mass held there every Sunday, accompanied by what some connoisseurs consider the world’s greatest cathedral organ—the highest liturgical art form we have ever had, and one that can be difficult to find today.
It would be spectacular to see such a thing in New York.
