Parishes to Join National Night Of Prayer for Life Dec. 8-9

Parishes in the archdiocese will join others across the nation in praying for the sanctity of all human life on the National Night of Prayer for Life, Dec. 8-9. 

The prayer service typically consists of four hours of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, recitation of the Rosary and other vocal prayer, silent meditation and Benediction. Prayers will be offered to end abortion and all offenses against the dignity of the human person, to make reparation for these sins and for the healing of those who are suffering. The effort will help build the culture of life and civilization of love in our nation. The following parishes are participating:    

Dutchess

Regina Coeli, Hyde Park, in Adoration Chapel Dec. 8-9, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

St. John the Evangelist, Beacon Dec. 8-9, 9 p.m.-1 a.m. 

St. Kateri Tekakwitha, LaGrangeville Dec. 8-9, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

St. Mary, Wappingers Falls Dec. 8, 8-11 p.m.

Manhattan 

Holy Innocents, 128 W. 37th St. Dec. 8-9, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Notre Dame, 405 W. 114th St. Dec. 8, 6:30-9 p.m. in the Grotto Church

Orange  

St. John the Evangelist, Goshen Dec. 8-9, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Immaculate Conception (St. Mary), Port Jervis Dec. 8, 9-10 p.m.

Our Lady of the Lake Mission, Route 52, Dec. 8, 9 p.m. Mass, 

Town of Newburgh followed by Exposition until 12:15 a.m.
