A nice pairing in the Oct. 7 edition: Cardinal Dolan's article about the Rosary and Joyce Goetze's letter citing the need for prayer for our country. The Jesuits at Regis High School put me onto the Rosary back in 1949. Carrying one in your pocket leads to special graces. I have carried one ever since, including combat in Korea. (I came home with all parts in place and no additional holes in spite of a number of close shaves).
As things are going today, this nation will collapse from within long before it will be conquered from without, forecast by a Catholic president fostering abortion.
