The New York premiere of the a capella musical “All Is Calm: the Christmas Truce of 1914,” which ran last November and December in the Loreto Theater of the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in lower Manhattan, has won a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience.

The award is shared by Laura Little Theatrical Productions and Theater Latté Da.

The honor was presented June 2 during the 64th annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall in Manhattan.

“All Is Calm” tells the story of the unlikely truce of 1914 that brought British, German and French soldiers out of the trenches to celebrate Christmas in a moment of mutual recognition, defiance and grace amid World War I.
