ShopRite Again Supporting ‘Feeding Our Neighbors’ Drive

Catholic Charities and ShopRite Supermarkets are teaming up for the fourth year to support the archdiocesan-wide Feeding Our Neighbors campaign.

ShopRite’s 27 stores in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley have been collecting funds and nonperishable food to replenish food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the archdiocese. Participating stores in Westchester County and the mid-Hudson region are coordinating point-of-sale collections from Jan. 21 until Feb. 3.

In the first three years, ShopRite customers donated nearly $400,000 and 50,000 pounds of nonperishable food.

“We are grateful to ShopRite and their customers for their continued generosity in support of the Feeding Our Neighbors food drive,” said Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, executive director of archdiocesan Catholic Charities, in a statement.

Msgr. Sullivan noted the donations come at a time “when food pantries are struggling to keep their shelves stocked and clients fed.

“Working together, we’re able to make a much-needed difference in our communities.”
