Sister Agnes Cecilia Ford, P.V.M.I.

Sister Agnes Cecilia Ford, P.V.M.I., who served at Marycrest for six years, died Feb. 19 at Marycrest in Monroe. She was 93.

Sister Agnes was at Marycrest as an infirmarian, 1985-1986; infirmarian and local superior, 1970-1974; and generalate work, 1968-1969. From 1946 to 1949, she did family visitation at both Good Shepherd parish, Manhattan, and Sacred Heart, the Bronx.

She also served in Albany, Brooklyn, Chicago and Milwaukee, and New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Maine.

Sister Agnes retired in 2005 and had resided at Marycrest since then.

Born in Novato, Calif., she entered the Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate in 1943 and professed final vows in 1949.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 25 at Marycrest Chapel. Burial was in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery, Blooming Grove.
