Sister Annette Iraldi, A.S.C.J., a former principal of Sacred Heart Private School in the Bronx, died July 29 at Sacred Heart Manor in Hamden, Conn. She was 97.

She was principal of Sacred Heart Private School from 1955 to 1960. After that, she served until 1968 as vice provincial of the U.S. Province of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart.

She also was a teacher and administrator at nursery schools and kindergartens for most of her active ministry.

Sister Annette was born in Torino, Italy, and entered the religious congregation in New Haven, Conn., in 1935 and professed first vows in 1938.

She is survived by a sister, Inez Gellin of Manhattan.

A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 2 at Sacred Heart Manor Chapel in Hamden, Conn., with burial in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven, Conn.
