Sister Anthia Kearns, O.P., who taught at Corpus Christi School in Manhattan in 1943-1944, died Aug. 21 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, Wis. She was 98. She also served as a principal, teacher and librarian in other dioceses served by her religious congregation. Born in Minneapolis, she entered the Sinsinawa Dominicans in 1938 and professed final vows in 1941. She is survived by five sisters, Loretta Bolduc, Theresa Healy, Elizabeth Mandile, Cecile Lewis and Margaret Williams. A Funeral Mass was offered at Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa on Aug. 25, with burial in the motherhouse cemetery there.
