Sister Catherine Herlihy, S.C., who held administrative posts at Cardinal Spellman High School and other schools, died Jan. 1 at Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers. She was 88. Sister Catherine served as an administrative assistant for pupil personnel services at Cardinal Spellman in the Bronx from 1977 until 1990. She served in Yonkers as registrar at Elizabeth Seton College, 1970-1977, and at Elizabeth Seton High School, 1949-1960. She also taught in the Bronx at the Academy of Mount St. Vincent, 1941-1943, and St. Barnabas High School, 1960-1969. She taught in Manhattan at the All Saints Branch of Cathedral High School, 1943-1945, and at St. Lawrence Academy, 1945-1949. Formerly known as Sister Regina Patrick, she was born in the Bronx and entered the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1941. She professed final vows in 1947. She held a bachelor's degree in math from the College of Mount St. Vincent and a master's in the same subject from Fordham University. She is survived by a sister, Julia Healy. A Funeral Mass was offered Jan. 4 at Mary the Queen Convent, with burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
