Sister Colette Duffy, S.A., superior of Mother Lurana House at Graymoor in Garrison for seven years, died Nov. 15 at Lurana Health Care Residence of St. Francis Convent at Graymoor. She was 102.
Sister Colette was at Mother Lurana House, 1976-1983. She was assistant superior at the motherhouse at Graymoor, 1973-1983. She also served in parish and pastoral ministries in upstate New York and in Connecticut, Utah and California.
She retired and returned to Graymoor in 2003.
Born in South Boston, Mass., she entered the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement in 1940 and professed final vows in 1947.
A Funeral Mass was offered Nov. 18 at the motherhouse chapel at St. Francis Convent.
Burial was in the sisters’ cemetery at Graymoor.
