Sister Ellen McGloin, F.S.P., who served in schools in the archdiocese, died Aug. 25 in Hartsdale. She was 88. She taught at the Assisium Business School in Manhattan, 1950-1967 and 1979-1980; was treasurer at Ladycliff College, Highland Falls, 1978-1979; and was the bursar at Franciscan High School, Mohegan Lake, 1980-1983. She was a pastoral associate in Winslow, Ariz., 1983-2004, and a missionary in Bolivia, 1967-1978. A native of Manhattan, she entered the Franciscan Sisters in 1948 and professed final vows in 1955. She held a bachelor's and a master's degree in business from New York University. A Funeral Mass was offered Aug. 29 at Marian Woods in Hartsdale, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers.
