Sister Eunice Marie Keenan, S.C. (Halifax), who taught at Our Lady of Good Counsel School on Staten Island, died July 20 at Mount St. Vincent Retirement Center in Wellesley Hills, Mass. She was 86.
She taught at Our Lady of Good Counsel from 1943 to 1957. She also served in Halifax and Quebec in Canada and in Massachusetts. She most recently served in the secretarial department of the Sisters of Charity in Boston before her retirement in 2001.
A Funeral Mass was offered July 23 in Mount St. Vincent Chapel in Wellesley Hills. Burial was in the sisters' plot in St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham, Mass.
