Sister Hélène Louise Zimmerman, R.S.H.M., a music teacher at schools and colleges in the archdiocese, died Jan. 15 at Marymount Convent in Tarrytown. She was 90.
Sister Hélène Louise taught at Marymount Secondary School, Tarrytown; Marymount College, Tarrytown; Marymount Manhattan College, Manhattan; Mozartina Musical Arts Conservatory, Tarrytown; and the Ursuline School, New Rochelle. She also served on the provincial council for the Eastern American Province.
Born in Manhattan, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1948 and made final vows in 1955.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 18 at Marymount Convent. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
