Sister Kathleen Daley, R.S.H.M.

Sister Kathleen Daley, R.S.H.M., who served in several roles at Marymount Manhattan College over 28 years, died Dec. 3 at Marymount Convent in Tarrytown. She was 88.

She served at Marymount Manhattan College from 1954 until 1982. She began as a teacher at the college. From 1963 until 1965 she worked in the development office, and from 1965 until 1974, she served as executive assistant to the president. From 1974 until 1982, she ministered in the women’s center.

She also taught at the Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Manhattan, 1948-1954; Marymount School, Tarrytown, 1947-1948; and Marymount School, Manhattan, 1945-1947.

Born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1943 and professed final vows in 1950. She held a bachelor’s degree in history from Marymount College and a master’s in economics from Fordham University.

A Funeral Mass was offered Dec. 8 at Marymount Convent, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
