Sister Loyola Maria Willett, S.C., who served for almost 60 years at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, died Oct. 26 at Mary the Queen Convent in Yonkers, CNY has learned. She was 97. She worked at St. Joseph's Medical Center as a medical technician supervisor, 1945-1986, and as a billing coordinator, 1987-2003. She taught at St. Gabriel's School in New Rochelle, 1930-1942, and at the Academy of Mount St. Vincent in the Bronx, 1928-1930. Born in Manhattan, she entered the Sisters of Charity of New York in 1928 and professed final vows in 1933. She was predeceased by her sister, Sister Mary Macrina, S.C. A Funeral Mass was offered Oct. 30 at Mary the Queen Convent, with burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers.
