Sister M. Dorinda Dougherty, I.H.M., who served at Holy Trinity School and parish in Poughkeepsie, died Dec. 19 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 87.
She was a teacher at Holy Trinity School, 1967-1972, and was parish religious education coordinator, 1972-1978.
She also served in Brooklyn and in other East Coast dioceses.
Born in Palmer, Pa., she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1939 and professed final vows in 1945.
She held a bachelor's degree from Marywood College in Scranton, Pa.
A Funeral Mass was offered Dec. 22 at Our Lady of Peace Residence, with burial at St. Catherine Cemetery, Moscow, Pa.
