Sister M. Immaculate Severino, I.H.M., a longtime associate professor of music at Marywood University in Scranton, Pa., died Oct. 11 at the IHM Center in Scranton. She was 80.

She served at Marywood from 1969 to 2000. She also taught music and piano at Holy Trinity School, Poughkeepsie, 1957-1959, at schools in Queens and in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Born in Fairview, N.J., she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1950 and made final vows in 1956. She held a bachelor's degree in music education from Marywood and a master's in music from the University of Notre Dame.

She is survived by two sisters, Antoinette Madden Forte and Jean Devrous. A Funeral Mass was offered Oct. 14 at the IHM Center.
