Sister M. Rosela McFadden, I.H.M., a teacher at two high schools in Manhattan for nine years, died March 19 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 92.
Sister Rosela taught at Cathedral High School, 1980-1983, and St. Alphonsus High School, 1974-1980. She also served at schools in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and Syracuse, and in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Born in Pittston, Pa., she entered the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1943 and professed final vows in 1949.
A Funeral Mass was offered March 22 at Our Lady of Peace Residence, followed by burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
