Sister Margaret Jennings, S.H.C.J., who taught at two schools in the archdiocese, died Dec. 21 at Holy Child Center in Rosemont, Pa. She was 82.
She taught at St. Elizabeth’s School, Manhattan, 1955-1958, 1970-1971 and 1989-1990, and at SS. Peter and Paul, Mount Vernon, 1958-1961.
She also taught in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois.
Born in New York City, she entered the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1953 and professed final vows in 1960. She was formerly known as Mother Josephine Mary.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph. A Funeral Mass was offered Dec. 27 in the New Sharon Chapel in Rosemont. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, Pa.
