Sister Mary Lucille Bridgetts, R.D.C.

Sister Mary Lucille Bridgetts, R.D.C., a longtime teacher at Preston High School in the Bronx, died April 24.  She was 87.

Sister Mary Lucille, a master French teacher, served at Preston from 1957 until her retirement. She earlier taught at Good Counsel Academy Elementary School in White Plains and St. Frances de Chantal School in the Bronx.

Born in Brooklyn, she attended Good Counsel Academy Elementary School and High School in White Plains. She entered the Sisters of the Divine Compassion in 1946 and made final vows in 1952. She held a bachelor's degree in French from Good Counsel College in White Plains and a master's in French from Villanova University in Pennsylvania.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and "grandnephews." 

A private burial was planned. A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.
