Sister Mary Ursula Gorman, O.P., a Dominican Sister of Hawthorne for more than 60 years, died Dec. 31 at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, where she had been residing. She was 85.
Sister Mary Ursula served as a nurse at nursing care facilities operated by her congregation in Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Massachusetts.
Born in Brooklyn, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne in 1947 and professed vows in 1949.
A Funeral Mass was offered Jan. 4 in Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel at Rosary Hill Home, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
