Sister Theresa Kelley, R.D.C., who taught at many schools in the archdiocese, died Feb. 29 at St. Cabrini Residence in Dobbs Ferry. She was 94.
She taught at Good Counsel Elementary School, White Plains; Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Elmsford; St. Bernard, White Plains; St. Mary’s, Katonah; St. Anthony’s, West Harrison; and John F. Kennedy Catholic, Somers.
She also taught at Windward School, White Plains.
Born in Auburn, she entered the Sisters of Divine Compassion in 1945 and professed final vows in 1951.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Good Counsel College, White Plains, and a master’s in special education from the College of New Rochelle.
A Funeral Mass was offered March 4 in the Chapel of the Divine Compassion, White Plains. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
