Sister Thomas More Duggan, O.P., who taught at elementary and secondary schools in Manhattan and the Bronx as well as in Queens and in Missouri, died April 12 in Siena Hall, Sparkill. She was 95.

She taught at Cathedral High School Annex, the Bronx, 1948-1949, and at St. Rose of Lima, Manhattan, 1943-1946. She taught at St. Teresa’s, Woodside, 1937-1938. From 1946 until 1987 she served as a teacher or principal at schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and the Diocese of Jefferson City, both in Missouri.

She was a parish adult education coordinator in St. Louis, 1987-1998, when she retired.

She lived at the Dominican Convent, Sparkill, 2005-2011, where she also tutored children in the Dominican Learning Center program. In 2011, she became a resident of Siena Hall.

Born in St. Louis, she entered the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill in 1935. She made her final vows in 1942. She earned a bachelor’s in education from Manhattan College, a master’s in education from St. Louis University, and a master’s in religious studies from Providence College.

A Funeral Mass was scheduled April 17 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Sparkill, with burial at St. Agnes Cemetery.
