Sister Vivian Vallee, M.M.

Sister Vivian Vallee, M.M., who served at Maryknoll Sisters Center for 26 years, died Jan. 25 at the center in Maryknoll. She was 90.

Sister Vivian was at Maryknoll doing volunteer work from 2000 until her retirement in 2013, and congregational service in the graphic arts department, housekeeping and education department, 1971-1984.

She was a missioner to Bangladesh, 1984-1989, and Japan, 1964-1970. She also served in Connecticut and California.

Born in Northbridge, Mass., she entered the Maryknoll Sisters Novitiate in 1946 and professed final vows in 1952.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Maryknoll Teachers College.

She is survived by two sisters, Sister M. Cecilia, S.P., and Anne Williams.

A Funeral Mass was offered Jan. 31 in the Main Chapel at Maryknoll Sisters Center, followed by burial in Maryknoll Sisters Cemetery.
