St. Charles, Staten Island, cruised to the boys and girls team titles at the Archdiocesan CYO Track and Field Championships at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island in Manhattan June 10.
The St. Charles boys finished with 134 points, followed by Annunciation of Crestwood with 91 points.
For the girls, St. Charles had 113.5 points, and St. Joseph-St. Thomas-St. John Neumann of Staten Island placed second with 73.
Raeanna Driscoll, Sahar Vitale and Abigail Robisky each won three individual events, and Annalisa
Sabatino won two for the St. Charles girls. For the St. Charles boys, Joseph Calabrese placed first in two individual events.
Also winning three individual events were Emilia Plawiak, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale; Malina Rodriguez-King, Sacred Heart, Staten Island; and Davey Davitt, Annunciation, Crestwood.
Placing first in two individual girls events were Ava Lamarca, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Staten Island; Hailey Raffone, Academy of St. Dorothy, Staten Island; Sophia Marrone, Sacred Heart, Staten Island; Zaria Lewis, Sacred Heart, Staten Island; and Gianna Cracchiolo, St. Joseph-St. Thomas-St. John Neumann, Staten Island.
Winning two individual boys events were Anthony Lenza, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Staten Island;
James Anzalone, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Staten Island; Daniel Davitt, Annunciation, Crestwood;
Joel West, St. Peter-St. Paul-Assumption, Staten Island; Kyle Gayle, Our Lady of Victory, Mount Vernon; Michael Rodriguez-King, Sacred Heart, Staten Island; Kadin Hamilton, Our Lady of Grace, the Bronx; Michael Drohan, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scarsdale; Isaac Jarba, St. Peter-St.
Paul-Assumption, Staten Island; Tommy Fitzmaurice, Annunciation, Crestwood; and Nicholas Rapacciulo, St. Clare, Staten Island.
The archdiocesan championships was the final meet of the outdoor season in the archdiocese.
Several CYO New York athletes will be competing in the AAU Track and Field Club Championships
at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida July 9-14.
