‘The Silent Saint’

Posted

God must have had, and always will have, a special and tender love for St. Joseph because God chose St. Joseph to be the protector of Jesus and Mary. Although there are no known spoken or written words of St. Joseph, he is invoked, venerated and blessed second only to our beautiful Blessed Mother. Often I think of St. Joseph as “The Silent Saint” because no words of his were necessary. His title, Protector of the Holy Family, says it all. We can entrust our concerns and our prayers to St. Joseph. He will not disappoint.

St. Joseph’s feast day is commemorated March 19, and Pope Francis has declared this year as the Year of St. Joseph. St. Joseph, Protector of the Universal Catholic Church, pray for us. Amen.
