Three Priests Named Parish Administrators

Three priests have been appointed administrators of parishes in the archdiocese, the Cardinal’s Office has announced.

Father Hartley Bancroft was named administrator of St. Joseph-Immaculate Conception parish, Millbrook, effective Jan. 1. Ordained in 2016, he had served since then as parochial vicar of St. Martin de Porres, Poughkeepsie.

Father Nelson Couto was named administrator of Holy Name of Mary, Croton-on-Hudson, effective Jan. 23. He had served as temporary administrator there since last year, and was parochial vicar, 2010-2019. He was parochial vicar of St. Philip Neri, the Bronx, 2008-2010; Sacred Heart, Staten Island, 2005-2008; and St. Bernard, White Plains, 2005. Ordained in his native India in 1979, he was incardinated into the archdiocese in 2010.

Father Robert Rodriguez was appointed administrator of St. Lucy, the Bronx, effective Feb. 6, after serving as parochial vicar of St. Brendan-St. Ann, the Bronx, since 2017. Ordained in 2014, he was parochial vicar of St. Joseph’s, Spring Valley, 2014-2017.
